About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead tower top operations, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, and load hopping.
- Install up-top equipment such as masts, antennas, RRUs, cabling, and supports.
- Perform installation of coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cables, including connector installation and weatherproofing.
- Execute grounding, terminations, and cadwelding as required.
- Supervise up to 4 tower personnel, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.
- Maintain high quality control standards and mentor less experienced crew members in safety awareness.
- Manage jobsite documentation, including JSA forms, closeout photos, and technical readings.
- Assist in the assembly of monopoles, self-support, and guyed towers.
Requirements
- NWSA Certification with A&L Specialty and Rigger Specialty.
- Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tower climbing, stacking, and rigging.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
- Ability to climb and work at heights up to 500 feet for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and pull own body weight plus equipment up vertical towers.
- Willingness to travel extensively (80-100% of the time) for several months at a time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of OSHA 10 training.
- Competent rigger coursework completion.
- Industrial First Aid and rescue training.
- Experience operating aerial lifts, man lifts, and skid steers.
