About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead tower top work including rigging, hoisting, landing, and fastening
- Install up-top equipment such as masts, antennas, RRUs, and cabling
- Perform coax, fiber, and hybrid cable installations and weatherproofing
- Complete grounding, terminations, and cadwelding as required
- Supervise up to 4 tower crew personnel and mentor less experienced members
- Maintain safe work environments and complete Jobsite Hazard Assessment (JHA) forms
- Assist in the assembly of monopole, self-support, and guyed towers
- Manage tool inventory and daily upkeep of the job site
Requirements
- Three years of experience in climbing towers, stacking, and rigging
- Successful completion of Safety in Rigging/Competent Rigger coursework
- Completion of Industrial First Aid and Rescue Training
- RF Awareness Certification
- Ability to climb and work at heights up to 500 feet
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and pull own body weight up a vertical tower
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel 50-90% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10hr or 30hr Training Certification
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- High school diploma or GED; related trade school education preferred
