Tournament Spaces Creative Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic, concept, and spatial design of player spaces for the Australian Open 2027
• Develop design language, guidelines, and functional design for restaurants, lounges, broadcast spaces, and high-performance gyms
• Concept and deliver both permanent and temporary spaces with a strong creative and cultural vision
• Integrate storytelling across tournament spaces aligned with precinct themes and brand narratives
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Brand, Broadcast, PR, and Marketing Partnerships
• Embed sustainability and circular thinking across all design outcomes
• Coordinate with delivery and build partners to execute design visions

Requirements

• Proven experience in interior, event/activation, or exhibition design with end-to-end project delivery
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong knowledge of construction and temporary builds
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills with strong stakeholder management
• Ability to work flexibly across summer months (December – February)
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
