About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Tennis Victoria tournament portfolio, managing over 25 events.
  • Act as Tournament Director for key events, overseeing on-the-ground decision-making, event flow, and competition management.
  • Manage the Endorsed Events process from initial application through to approval and communication.
  • Oversee event finances by monitoring budgets, tracking performance, and ensuring sustainable operations.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and implementing opportunities to strengthen the financial success of competitive play events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clubs, venues, community organisers, and partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience coordinating or managing the operational delivery of sporting events, tournaments, or large-scale programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing event budgets and monitoring financial performance.
  • Ability to deliver outcomes in complex environments with peak workload periods and time-critical decision-making.
  • Familiarity with event management systems, scheduling tools, or sports administration platforms.
  • Relevant qualification in sport, event management, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to hold (or obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours to meet the requirements of event schedules.
