About the role
Responsibilities
- Operating torch equipment to cut and trim different metal materials
- Setting up and preparing torch equipment and ensuring proper safety measures are in place
- Performing cutting tasks with precision and accuracy
- Inspecting finished workpieces and making adjustments as needed
- Assisting with material handling and preparation tasks, such as moving and securing workpieces using clamps or fixtures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of equipment and materials
Requirements
- Basic understanding of torch equipment operation and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time
- Ability to lift objects as required
- Comfortable working outdoors and being exposed to all elements
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in metalworking, welding, or fabrication
