Toolsetter/Operator Imex Extrusion

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust cold forming and supplementary machinery to produce aluminum and steel products
• Diagnose and remedy operating and tooling difficulties to ensure proper machine operation
• Insert and adjust punches, dies, and cutting dies
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers and other sizing gauges to ensure parts meet specifications
• Work from technical drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions
• Maintain production and quality records while keeping the work area clean and orderly
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, including 6S projects and continuous improvement events
• Follow all safety practices, including wearing proper PPE and identifying potential hazards

Requirements

• Experience setting up and operating cold forming machinery
• Ability to diagnose and remedy tooling difficulties and repair parts
• Proficiency in performing dimensional inspections using micrometers and sizing gauges
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Capability to maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
