Tools & Parts Attendant

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, and shop supplies
• Maintain accurate records of tools issued to and returned by workers
• Perform periodic or perpetual inventory counts and requisition stock as needed
• Visually inspect tools for wear or defects and report damaged equipment to superiors
• Monitor the condition and accountability of all tool inventories in tool room custody
• Maintain tracking and identification of calibrated tools and special equipment
• Unpack new equipment and apply identification tags or engravings as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience with tools and parts
• US Citizenship required to obtain facility credentials
• Valid and current state driver's license
• Basic computer skills and ability to write routine reports
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various physical conditions, including standing for long periods
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary facility authorizations or security clearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment
