Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Run flow and thermal simulation software to design and optimize gating and venting systems
• Review simulation results with cross-functional teams and update tool CAD/prints to implement changes
• Analyze tool failures and collaborate with teams to design innovative solutions for filling, thermal balance, and die life
• Create, modify, and maintain tool CAD and prints
• Manage quoting, procurement, and the build of new program tooling, cavity replacements, and other die components
• Lead design review meetings and carry out validation of changes

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Proven die design experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman toolmaker experience
• Experience with flow simulation software
