Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures using CAD software
• Own the fabrication, assembly, wiring, and validation of tooling, fixtures, and test systems
• Ensure tooling design meets safety, ergonomic, and operational requirements
• Collaborate with machinists, welders, engineers, and technicians to optimize designs
• Provide troubleshooting for production tool issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of tooling or fixture design experience
• Proficient in a 3D CAD package (Solidworks, CATIA, NX, etc.)
• Knowledge of GD&T and machining processes
• Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects or portfolio
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, aerospace, or similar complex industries
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing for rapid tooling
• Experience in fast-paced, highly technical engineering environments
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and ergonomic design

• Base salary range of $90,000–$175,000
