About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive, stock, control, and inventory bench stock, tools, Technical Orders (T.O.’s), and support equipment.
- Issue tools, test equipment, and diagnostic equipment while maintaining strict accountability via automated systems.
- Perform preventative and minor maintenance on tools to ensure they are clean, oiled, and serviceable.
- Manage calibration schedules for Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
- Control the Hazardous Waste Management Program, including spill response and managing chemical profiles/MSDS.
- Utilize the AFEMIS system to order authorized chemicals and oils.
- Maintain regulatory records and prepare for base-conducted ECAMP inspections.
- Perform building custodian duties, including escort duties and snow removal.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), repair cycle systems, and basic aircraft/engine components.
- Proven knowledge of procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience working with MIS/SBSS interface or related computer systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license.
- Ability to occasionally handle items weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of applicable Government documents, directives, and technical orders.
- Familiarity with the Fed Log system.
