Tool Repair Associate I

Responsibilities

• Handle repairs for portable electric, pneumatic, construction equipment, and outdoor products
• Troubleshoot tool failures by disassembling units to examine components for wear or defects
• Replace worn or defective parts and perform performance and safety testing after repair
• Complete work orders including pricing, labor, and customer information
• Manage inventory accuracy for parts and accessories
• Achieve daily productivity goals regarding the volume of tools repaired
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data
• Knowledge of electricity principles and air flow as it applies to power tools
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in equipment
• Proficiency in performing simple mathematical calculations
• Strong attention to detail and a goal-driven mentality
• Ability to use various technological systems for data entry and record-keeping

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in tool repair or a production environment is preferred, but not required
• On-the-job training will be provided
