Tool & Die Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform machine repair, troubleshooting tooling, and moving or cleaning dies
• Assist Die Makers with their daily duties and tasks
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulations
• Identify and implement ways to reduce waste and manufacturing byproducts
• Maintain a safe working environment by wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Report all accidents and near misses to the supervisor immediately

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in tool and die or machining
• Ability to read and follow complex work instructions
• Mathematical proficiency, including algebra and trigonometry
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive hand/finger movements
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly, 40 pounds frequently, and up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to work in a factory environment with exposure to loud noises and moving mechanical parts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Tool & Die Maker
• Experience repairing and modifying stamping dies, welding fixtures, or quality check fixtures
