Tool & Die Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Operate and maintain manual and CNC machining equipment
• Select appropriate metals for tooling based on material properties to improve durability
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to solve technical challenges
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Requirements

• Completion of a recognized Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of machining, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman's card
• Previous professional tool and die experience
