About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly of custom tooling, automation, and robotic systems
- Interpret and use 3D models and 2D drawings provided by engineering to build mechanical assemblies
- Troubleshoot equipment and communicate technical findings effectively
- Provide support for internal customer buyoff events and onsite customer installations
- Maintain 6S standards and promote a safe, productive work environment
- Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales departments
Requirements
- Experience assembling, testing, and debugging custom tooling and robotic systems
- Proficiency in interpreting 2D drawings and 3D models
- Skilled in the use of hand, power, and basic machining tools
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to travel within North America approximately 10% of the time
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or vocational school in a technical field
- 5+ years of related work experience in automation or robotics
