Tool and Die Repair Group Leader

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all scheduled and unscheduled die, fixture, and machine repairs for the 2nd shift.
• Coordinate schedules, follow up on assignments, and train new apprentices.
• Collaborate with facility departments to provide input and direction for production operations.
• Maintain documentation to establish trends, monitor cost effectiveness, and track labor force.
• Aggressively reduce rework and scrap to improve profit margins.
• Maintain quality and production standards following all ISO and company procedures.
• Operate lift trucks, cranes, welders, and other equipment to perform Tool Room duties.
• Assist in the selection, qualification, and development of Tool Room personnel.

Requirements

• Possess or acquire a state-approved Tool & Die Journeyman’s card within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a Tool Room department.
• Strong tooling background in both new tool construction and tool maintenance.
• Proven experience with project development and management.
• Valid lift truck operator's license or ability to successfully complete training.
• Working knowledge of machining, stamping, fabrication, and assembly operations.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
