Tool and Die Repair

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair single hit, transfer, and progressive dies
• Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, jigs, and molds
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure parts meet specifications
• Maintain up-to-date production and assignment boards
• Work directly with apprentices to ensure they are meeting training requirements

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with progressive and line dies
• Must supply personal tools usual to the trade
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background check, drug screen, and physical
