Tool and Die Maker

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and repair dies, tools, fixtures, and jigs to ensure uninterrupted production
• Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machine tools
• Position, secure, and work metal stock or castings for machining
• Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of toolroom and production equipment
• Perform toolsteel welding and fit/assemble parts using hand tools
• Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Execute preventative maintenance programs on tools and dies based on assigned schedules
• Address quality-related problems and provide prompt resolutions to minimize downtime
• Accurately document daily tasks and complete production sheets
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation

Requirements

• Tool & Die Maker certificate
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of tools and dies
• Thorough knowledge of operating Toolroom and production equipment
• Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) guidelines
• Computer literacy
• Strong English communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills
