Tool and Die Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Repair and recondition existing tools, fixtures, and dies as assigned
• Perform machine work on components for new tools, fixtures, and dies
• Attend required apprenticeship classes and safety training
• Operate lift trucks, cranes, welders, and other equipment to perform Tool Room duties
• Maintain quality and production standards following ISO and company procedures
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the Tool Room
• Abide by all apprenticeship expectations and safety rules

Requirements

• State-approved Tool & Die Apprentice card or equivalent experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of the apprenticeship entry exam
• Valid lift truck operator license or ability to complete training
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic understanding of machining, stamping, fabrication, and assembly operations
• Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to furnish required tools
