About the role

Responsibilities

  • Complete a progressive four-year apprenticeship program in Tool and Die making
  • Perform tasks based on apprenticeship level, including running flycutters, stoning forms, rough milling, and drilling blocks
  • Assist toolmakers with troubleshooting in press and fitting die components
  • Build die stations from blueprints and work toward independent operation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including polishing components and vacuuming filters
  • Record daily job numbers, hours, and apprenticeship progress reports accurately
  • Comply with all Health and Safety regulations, including WHMIS and OHSA standards
  • Report any equipment deficiencies or product nonconformities to supervisors immediately

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Must have valid registration for an Apprenticeship
  • Must possess and use your own tools
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
  • Reliable transportation to the Newmarket, ON location
  • Availability to work overtime as required
