Title & Escrow Operations Manager

About the Company

Clever is a venture-backed real estate technology company on a mission to revolutionize the way people buy, sell, and manage real estate. Clever Closings is the title and escrow arm of Clever Real Estate, handling residential transactions across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage 6–10 closers, escrow officers, and processors
• Run consistent 1:1s, huddles, and performance reviews
• Own team KPIs including cycle time, on-time-to-close, and CSAT
• Conduct routine file audits across title commitments, CDs, and escrow ledgers
• Ensure compliance with RESPA, TRID, CFPB, and BSA/AML
• Partner with Product and Ops to improve workflows and tooling

Requirements

• 5+ years in title, escrow, settlement, or closing (residential resale)
• 2+ years of experience managing a team
• Hands-on experience across the full closing lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of Federal and multi-state compliance (RESPA, TRID, CFPB, BSA/AML)
• Proficiency in Qualia
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, remote, multi-state environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Active title producer or escrow officer license
• Multi-state experience across attorney, escrow, and title states
• ALTA Best Practices certification
• Experience scaling a team during growth periods
