Tissue Culture Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform micropropagation and meristem isolation
• Transfer plant cells and tissue culture materials per specifications and quality standards
• Prepare and dispense media according to established specifications
• Label culture vessels, autoclave materials, and clean lab equipment
• Maintain safe keeping of proprietary varieties and confidential information
• Follow company policies and represent Ohalo ethically in all interactions
• Support other duties as assigned by Lab Leadership Team

Requirements

• Enjoy working with plants and enthusiastic about hands-on work
• Detail-oriented with strong record keeping, organizational, and self-motivation skills
• Proactive approach to routine tasks with ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability to ask clarifying questions and work independently or with multiple departments
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently and sit for extended periods
• Prioritize safety in all lab activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a sterile work environment, plant breeding, or plant tissue culture laboratory
