Tire Building Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment including jeeps, tuggers, walkies, and forklifts to deliver components to tire building machines
• Collect and weigh green waste and manage scrap components from machines
• Return empty books/cassettes and scrap components to their respective supplying departments
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area following 5S characteristics
• Communicate effectively with supervision, production operators, and other crew members
• Adhere to all plant, environmental, and departmental safety policies

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Successful completion of the Work Keys assessment (Silver level)
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
• Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions regarding specifications and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV)
