Thrift Store Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit, adhering to store policies for refunds and voids
• Sort, pack, hang, price, and store incoming donations to maintain inventory levels
• Maintain store appearance by tidying shelves, cleaning common areas, and assisting with window and merchandise displays
• Monitor store security and assist with stock rotation and inventory control
• Contribute to a safe environment by following health and safety regulations, including clearing obstacles and managing spills

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting/moving up to 30 lbs
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Experience in customer service or goods processing is preferred
