About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
- Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit sales
- Sort, price, hang, and store incoming donations to maintain inventory levels
- Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise merchandising
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including sweeping, dusting, and clearing obstacles
- Monitor store security and assist with donation turnover and stock rotation
- Follow all health and safety policies, including proper lifting and handling of goods
Requirements
- Completion of some high school coursework
- Proven experience in cash handling and operating cash registers
- Previous experience in customer service or processing/distribution of goods
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently
- Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
