About the role
Responsibilities
- Process donations by loading, unloading, sorting, packing, pricing, and storing items
- Handle customer transactions accurately using cash and debit systems
- Provide friendly and courteous customer service to donors and shoppers
- Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive displays
- Assist with inventory control by retrieving and organizing stock
- Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including cleaning spills and clearing exits
- Work collaboratively with team members and volunteers
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School
- Minimum of 3 months of related experience
- Proven experience with cash handling
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as twisting, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to undergo applicable background checks
