Thrift Store Clerk

Responsibilities

• Process donations by loading, unloading, sorting, packing, pricing, and storing items
• Handle customer transactions accurately using cash and debit systems
• Provide friendly and courteous customer service to donors and shoppers
• Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and creating attractive displays
• Assist with inventory control by retrieving and organizing stock
• Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including cleaning spills and clearing exits
• Work collaboratively with team members and volunteers

Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Minimum of 3 months of related experience
• Proven experience with cash handling
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as twisting, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to undergo applicable background checks
