Thrift Store Clerk

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous customer service to shoppers and donors
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit systems
• Sort, price, and organize incoming donations to maintain inventory quality
• Assist with store layout, including window displays and merchandise arrangement
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including sweeping, dusting, and clearing exits
• Unload donations and move stock to appropriate warehouse or sales floor locations
• Monitor store activity to ensure security and loss prevention

Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Minimum of 3 months of experience in warehouse processing or goods distribution
• Proven experience with cash handling
• Basic math skills for calculating discounts and percentages
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using cash registers and debit/credit card processing machines
• Ability to work a flexible, casual schedule based on business needs
