Thrift Store Clerk II

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process accurate transactions via cash, debit, and credit
• Receive, sort, and price incoming donations based on store policies
• Maintain store appearance by stocking shelves, rotating products, and creating merchandise displays
• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, and maintaining donation areas
• Assist with cash-out procedures, sales receipt summaries, and bank deposit documentation
• Support store safety by ensuring clear exits and managing spills or obstacles
• Work alongside volunteers and provide direction as needed by the Store Supervisor

Requirements

• Grade 12 Education
• Up to 3 months of experience in retail or customer service
• Proficiency with cash register operations
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items weighing up to 15kg
• Valid Police Check, First Aid certificate, and WHMIS certification
• Ability to work a flexible, on-call schedule
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
