About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain KOL Engagement Plans and execute National and Regional Congress Engagement Plans.
- Support commercial KOL influence mapping and monitor insights regarding treatment patterns to inform commercial strategy.
- Act as a liaison between KOLs and Alexion for on-label activities across Marketing, Medical, and Diagnostics teams.
- Identify, recruit, and train physician speakers for national and regional faculty and speaker bureaus.
- Evaluate and coach physician speakers to ensure high-quality, compliant branded and unbranded education.
- Provide key customer insights to cross-functional teams to support brand strategy, messaging, and program execution.
- Collaborate with regional field teams to provide input on account plans and field-based training.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in academia, medical, or bio/pharma environments.
- Proven experience in product marketing, field sales, clinical roles, or thought leader engagement.
- Strong clinical, technical, and scientific aptitude in complex disease states.
- Working knowledge of Thought Leader engagement practices.
- Ability to manage a large geographical territory.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time, including significant overnight and weekend travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a graduate degree (MSc, MSN, MBA).
- Prior experience and/or established relationships within the Neurology therapeutic area.
- Previous experience in bio/pharma specifically within Marketing or thought leader engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines.
