Third Officer

Responsibilities

• Assist with navigation, course planning, and bridge watch
• Support Chief Mate and Second Officer in safe ship operations
• Prepare and close the bridge, including equipment checks
• Maintain Deck Logbook and ensure vessel seaworthiness
• Support maintenance of navigation, safety, and communication systems
• Assist with cargo, deck, and port operations
• Execute and record environmental and emergency procedures
• Operate GMDSS equipment and other communication systems

Requirements

• Valid maritime certificate for Third Officer
• Experience in navigation and deck operations at sea
• Knowledge of international maritime regulations and safety procedures
• Proactive attitude and ability to make independent decisions
• Strong communication skills and team spirit
• Familiarity with onboard safety and environmental procedures

Benefits

• Salary according to RollDock CAO for seafarers (€ 2.799,38 – € 3.642,36 gross per month)
• 30% fixed allowance for overtime on board
• Travel days paid as workdays (max 2 days)
• Full reimbursement for training according to the training matrix
• Work schedule of 3 months on – 3 months off
