Thermal Vakuum Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and upgrade thermal cabinets and thermal-vacuum chambers
• Prepare test articles and subsystems for testing
• Install and troubleshoot fluid lines, valves, and electrical systems (24VDC), including sensors and actuators
• Perform manual operations on pressurized and cryogenic systems
• Maintain facility documentation and adapt test systems according to requirements
• Support testing operations and occasional deployments to launch sites in Norway or Sweden

Requirements

• Degree or proven experience as a Mechanic, Mechatronic technician, or Precision Mechanic
• Experience in a high-tech or industrial setting
• Ability to read and interpret wiring and fluid diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Fluency in English and German (B2 level)
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with high-pressure fluid systems (up to 800 Bar), preferably Swagelok
• Familiarity with ATEX regulations, compressed gases, and cryogenic systems (LN2)
• Experience with CAD design software such as AutoCAD
• Occupational trade school qualification in a mechanical field
