Thermal Systems Technical Documentation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, editing, and continuous improvement of Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) manuals
• Develop and optimize structured documentation workflows and engineering submittal packages
• Develop and refine precise Sequence of Operations (SOO) documents, including control logic and system thresholds
• Analyze heat transfer and energy conversion components to describe functionality in user-facing documents
• Independently develop, review, and edit comprehensive project and customer reports
• Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to extract technical specifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, refrigeration, thermal management, or HVAC
• Extensive foundational knowledge of refrigeration cycles, heat transfer, and energy conversion
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills
• Strong commitment to documentation accuracy and clarity

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related thermal sciences field
• Familiarity with single-phase and two-phase heat transfer mechanisms
• Knowledge of data center cooling topologies, including direct-to-chip liquid cooling and immersion systems
