Thermal Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, and scheduled or emergency service on data center cooling systems
• Support more experienced technicians with repairs and preventative maintenance duties
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks including coil cleaning, filter changes, and fluid remediation
• Take unit readings and measurements of temperature, voltages, pressures, and controller diagnostics
• Maintain excellent rapport with customers, co-workers, and sales representatives

Requirements

• Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals
• Technical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy and understanding of computer logic
• Strong mathematical capabilities and understanding of psychrometrics
• Ability to work at heights, on ladders, or on roofs
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to obtain an EPA608 license within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of HVAC systems
