Thermal Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a mentor and department employees to apply technical knowledge
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real-world challenges
• Attend frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors for progress updates
• Participate in tech talks and professional networking events

Requirements

• Enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or math
• At least one semester of school remaining post-internship
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab, or personal projects)
• Ability to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks starting August or September 2026

Preferred Qualifications

• GPA of 3.5 or above
• 6+ months of applied engineering experience
• Thermal engineering experience
• Experience using CAD/CAM
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience
• Machining or lathe machine experience
