Thermal Engineer, Analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop and document thermal simulations for various vehicle components in a 3D simulation environment
• Assess thermal performance under steady-state and transient conditions and provide design recommendations
• Document and post-process simulation results in an organized manner
• Develop test plans and support the test team in gathering data from physical systems
• Iterate simulation models to achieve strong correlation and build confidence in results
• Use simulation models and tools to identify root causes of issues observed during testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant educational credential
• 5+ years of experience in thermal and/or fluid analysis
• Proficiency in STAR-CCM+ or similar analysis tools
• Ability to run large simulation models on HPC clusters
• Strong communication skills for oral and written simulation results
• Problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in a dynamic team environment
• Hands-on experience in testing automotive components

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-phase simulations (e.g., VoF or Mixture Multi-Phase)
• Familiarity with 1D analysis tools
