About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-year thermal technology roadmaps, including innovations in PCM, vapor chambers, fans, and active cooling solutions
  • Partner with silicon vendors to co-design systems based on power delivery profiles and thermal maps
  • Drive development of advanced CFD workflows to predict steady-state and transient thermal behavior
  • Architect thermal tuning algorithms to balance skin temperature, fan acoustics, and system performance
  • Lead project teams of mechanical and thermal engineers through all phases of development from concept to production
  • Provide architectural consultation and design reviews across multiple organizations
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers and help develop future technical leaders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermal Fluids
  • 10+ years of experience in senior thermal performance or principal engineering roles
  • Extensive experience across the full hardware development lifecycle
  • Strong thermal analysis expertise using CFD tools such as Flotherm XT, FLOEFD, or Icepak
  • Proficiency with CAD and simulation tools including PTC Creo, SolidWorks, and ANSYS
  • Hands-on experience with heat pipes, vapor chambers, and fluidic cooling designs
  • Experience designing sheet metal and plastic components and understanding manufacturing processes
