Thermal Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal analysis of rotating machinery and associated fluid systems
• Provide thermal support for ASME Code Analyses and other pressure vessel/engineering codes
• Conduct advanced thermal analysis of nuclear-grade equipment for commercial and government applications
• Develop techniques for thermal analysis to support design and mechanical engineering processes
• Model thermal performance of equipment and verify models through testing

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• 5-10 years of engineering analysis experience
• US citizenship required due to DoD requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Experience with ANSYS
• Adeptness with hand calculations for thermal analysis
• Ability to model thermal performance of sophisticated systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WECAN and/or EMDAC finite element programs
• Commercial nuclear industry design and analysis experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
