Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing therapy interventions prescribed by physiotherapists (PT), occupational therapists (OT), and speech and language therapists (SLT)
• Support patients with personal care activities including washing, dressing, toileting, and eating
• Contribute to patient assessments and support the development of individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress
• Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

• Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Experience working with neurological patients and/or in rehabilitation settings
• Ability to carry out prescribed therapy interventions under supervision
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
• Availability to work full-time including occasional weekends
