About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized therapy services to individuals with emotional, behavioral, and other mental disorders in individual or group settings.
- Develop and implement written treatment plans with measurable goals, timelines, and outcomes.
- Conduct therapeutic intake services and pre-enrollment assessments.
- Monitor client risk to self, others, and property, providing crisis intervention and necessary referrals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and Revised Codes of Washington (RCW).
- Coordinate care with outside agencies, including medical clinics, hospitals, and schools, to ensure continuity of service.
- Ensure services are culturally competent and respect the primary language of the individual.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including risk, suicidal, and crisis intervention assessment.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License and a safe, reliable vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide an acceptable driving report.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Washington State Licensure in Mental Health, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- At least two years of experience in direct treatment of individuals and families with emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Training in and application of Evidence-Based Practices.
- Bilingual or bicultural skills (Spanish preferred).
- Experience with clinical computer software programs.
