About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy services to individuals with emotional, behavioral, and other mental disorders
- Develop and implement individualized written treatment plans with measurable goals and timelines
- Conduct therapeutic intake services and pre-enrollment assessments
- Monitor client risk levels (self-harm, others, property) and provide appropriate crisis intervention
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with WAC, RCW, and agency requirements
- Coordinate care with external agencies, including medical clinics, hospitals, and schools
- Ensure services are culturally competent and respect the primary language of the individual
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work
- Strong clinical assessment skills (risk, suicidal, crisis intervention, and diagnostic)
- Valid Washington State Driver's License and a safe, reliable vehicle with insurance
- Ability to pass a background check and provide an acceptable driving report
- Ability to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test
- Demonstrated ability to manage aggressive behaviors using least restrictive interventions
Preferred Qualifications
- Washington State Licensure in Mental Health, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- At least two years of experience in direct treatment of individuals and families
- Training in and application of Evidence Based Practices
- Experience with clinical computer software programs
- Spanish Bilingual/Bicultural skills
- Specialized knowledge in treating children, geriatric, or developmental disability populations
