Therapeutic Specialist - HBV

Responsibilities

• Represent Gilead's HBV products to healthcare practitioners within the assigned territory (Houston Medical Center, Beaumont, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans)
• Generate and grow sales by consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person meetings and face-to-face representation
• Establish strong working relationships with healthcare practices to provide disease awareness, clinical updates, and education
• Develop and implement a territory business plan to meet customer needs and monitor sales progress
• Synthesize complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences and deliver high-quality presentations
• Partner with internal teams, including Medical Scientists and Marketing, to support territory goals
• Ensure all activities comply with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines

Requirements

• BS/BA degree with 5+ years of professional experience OR MS/MA degree with 3+ years of experience
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales
• Experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales
• Strong relationship-building expertise and advanced influencing skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience and 2 years of specialty pharmaceutical experience
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives in highly competitive markets
• Previous experience with product launches in a competitive environment
