Therapeutic Specialist

Responsibilities

• Achieve coverage, frequency, and sales targets within the assigned territory in Alicante.
• Represent Gilead’s products and services to a defined customer base of healthcare professionals.
• Prepare and execute business plans for the territory, including target assignment and action planning.
• Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
• Build and extend professional business relationships with key customers and accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, and Marketing.
• Monitor sales progress and provide regular feedback and recommendations to management.
• Ensure all activities comply with Gilead commercial compliance policies and applicable pharmaceutical laws and regulations.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree.
• 4–6 years of relevant pharmaceutical or healthcare industry sales experience.
• Proven expertise in interpersonal, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiating skills.
• Mandatory achievement of country-specific pharmaceutical sales certifications.
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and independence as an individual contributor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in an appropriate therapeutic area.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and market trends.
• Experience working in cross-functional team environments.
