Therapeutic Area (Associate) Director

Responsibilities

• Lead indication-specific strategy planning and implementation within the oncology therapeutic area
• Provide therapeutic oversight to Core Project Teams and participate in Executive Oversight Meetings
• Mentor and train department staff on best practices and developed strategies
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of investigators and clinical sites
• Identify key project-level risks and escalate critical issues to senior management
• Review essential study documents and attend internal/external study audits
• Support business development by making recommendations for bidding based on feasibility and RFPs
• Assist and coach the bid team during the bid defense process
• Contribute to the development of global therapeutic strategies and maintain KOL networks

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in a clinical research CRO or pharmaceutical environment
• MD or Pharmacy degree with a specialization in Oncology
• Proven experience expanding local clinical development activities from China to overseas markets (specifically Europe and/or the US)
• Business-level English proficiency for global communication
• Ability to travel to various cities within China for client meetings and conferences
