About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach two sections of undergraduate courses: World Vernacular Artistry and Performance Analysis.
- Deliver course material, create assignments, and evaluate student work.
- Maintain clear and responsive communication with students, faculty, and staff via university email.
- Prepare and submit a course syllabus following the university-mandated template.
- Ensure timely submission of all grades and adherence to institutional training requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Theatre or a related field.
- 2-3 years of university or college-level teaching experience.
- Working expertise in various tap dance styles and knowledge of the history and culture of tap dance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Theatre with a specific focus on history or a related area.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Benefits
- Compensation of $3,982 per class (total of $7,964 for two classes).
- Part-time adjunct position for the upcoming fall semester (8/31 to 12/19).
