Textile Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure professional use and processing of technical textiles based on expertise
• Support the "fabric confection" department in developing and optimizing internal processes and procedures
• Responsible for material testing and evaluating fabric qualities and properties to ensure optimal selection for sun protection products
• Work cross-departmentally on the introduction of new materials and technologies in textile processing
• Train and advise internal and external customers regarding the use and processing of technical textiles
• Research relevant textile properties, initiate necessary tests, and evaluate results for specific applications
• Manage certificates and maintain the fabric database
• Participate in interdisciplinary projects and potentially lead textile-focused projects

Requirements

• Completed degree in textile engineering or comparable training
• Good basic knowledge of manufacturing processes along the textile chain
• Deep understanding of the physical and chemical structure of technical textiles, especially in finishing and equipping
• Structured, systematic, and solution-oriented working style
• High level of commitment and passion for implementation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to organize tasks independently and maintain oversight across multiple projects
