Testing Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform product performance testing on water heaters and cooktops to ensure compliance with regulatory programs and GEA standards
• Conduct daily quality audits and tests, including tank capacity, hydrostatic, combustion, and vibration testing
• Execute product audits and end-of-line tests for various appliance models
• Identify quality issues and troubleshoot resolutions alongside the production team
• Support quality activities in fabrication and assembly areas, including first piece inspections and containment actions
• Provide feedback to management regarding current quality issues and lead improvement activities to reduce scrap rates
• Maintain proper documentation and generate testing reports

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a quality-related role within a manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic mechanical concepts
• Proficiency in reading calipers, micrometers, and technical prints
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing at least 50 lbs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Expertise or working knowledge of Fabrication and Assembly areas
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products
