About the role

Responsibilities

  • Administer and proctor academic paper/pencil tests, computerized tests, and placement tests.
  • Provide strong customer service and student advocacy to support student success.
  • Communicate with faculty and staff to facilitate student testing processes.
  • Handle telephone, in-person, online, and email contacts with professionalism.
  • Ensure strict adherence to database and FERPA standards.
  • Enter and retrieve computer-based student information and maintain service usage records.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks including data entry and appointment scheduling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (certificate or associate’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in customer service.
  • Knowledge of academic testing processes, placement testing, and college assessment protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word for producing memos, fliers, and correspondence.
  • Ability to enter and retrieve computer-based data in software systems.
  • Strong professional verbal, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Note: Applicants who have ever been certified as an Ohio Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Firefighter are not eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Colleague software.
  • Knowledge of accounting and statistical procedures related to report compilation.
