Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues to optimize system performance and minimize downtime
• Conduct regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities
• Provide training and support to operations teams on the proper use and maintenance of automation systems
• Document all processes, configurations, and changes related to automation systems
• Prepare progress and root cause analysis reports

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Automation, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in automation as a PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning, preferably in Water/Wastewater, Oil & Gas, or Infrastructure
• Proficiency with PLC platforms and RTUs such as Schneider M580, Rockwell Control & Compact Logix, and Siemens S7 series (S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7)
• Experience with SCADA systems including WinCC and WinCC OA
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus (Serial/RTU), BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, and DNP3
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, layouts, and control panel drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot control panel wiring and instrumentation
• UPDA holder
• Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

• International driving license
