About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a full-service testing center for students with disabilities requiring exam accommodations
  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of 5-7 student proctors
  • Oversee testing activities, review testing contracts, and create accessible exam formats
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student testing records using the department information system
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure technical requirements for Assistive Technology are met
  • Develop and market training modules and educational resources regarding Testing Center processes
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure compliance with Federal disability statutes
  • Provide support and counseling for test-anxious students and refer them to appropriate academic services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (must be completed prior to hire)
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct student service or academic support experience
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test administration platforms such as Blackboard or Canvas
  • Knowledge of the AIM information system
  • Familiarity with various assistive technologies used by students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of federal regulations including Section 504, ADA, and FERPA
  • Experience in test administration and knowledge of best practice technical delivery models
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal communication skills
