About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform final testing, assembly, and repair functions on completed drilling rigs to ensure they are fully functional and defect-free
- Work from blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to complete assembly or modification duties
- Conduct functional tests and adjust operating systems including chassis, compressor, engine, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Set and adjust pressure (PSI) and engine speed (RPM) ratings to conformance
- Detect and report defective materials, faulty operations, or unusual conditions to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe test area by performing 5S activities and following safety regulations
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to complete required audits
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills (specifically hydraulic and electrical)
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and ERP systems
- Ability to use hand/power tools, test equipment, and gauges
- Physical ability to work in an outdoor environment, climb ladders, crawl under rigs, and lift up to 25 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with rig components and systems including "RCS"
