Test & Validation Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the overall test strategy for turbofan development programs, including capability analysis of test means.
• Oversee the planning and execution of all test campaigns, including component, rig, module, core engine, and certification testing.
• Manage engine test cells and ground test infrastructure, proposing necessary adaptations.
• Validate data-processing methodologies and approve test reports to ensure traceability and compliance with V&V plans.
• Coordinate priorities for test assets, schedules, and budgets in alignment with Product Management.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, risk assessment, and readiness reviews for all test operations.
• Build, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary test organization, including test benches, instrumentation, and tooling.
• Represent the Test function to platforms, OEMs, and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in engine testing, specifically within turbofan propulsion or similar complex engineered systems.
• Extensive experience with civil and/or military certification frameworks such as EASA, FAA, or EMAR.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale test campaigns (FETT, endurance, and certification).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical authority in engine performance, mechanical systems, and control.
• Ability to manage high-pressure, high-risk testing environments while promoting HSE and reliability.
